The NSW Division is the successful tenderer for the construction of the Goulburn Courthouse New Holding Cell Complex.

Construction commenced in December 2007 and completion is expected in August 2008.

The works included the construction of a new holding cell building, prison van dock and an above ground prisoner transfer corridor from the holding cell building to the existing courthouse.

Also included in the works is the conversion of existing cell areas into new interview rooms along with the construction of a new carport, covered walkway and disabled access ramps.

The site is adjacent to the existing historical Goulburn Courthouse that will remain fully operational throughout the course of the works.
