Our North Beach Surf Life Saving Club project in Wollongong has reached an important milestone. The Triton erosion control mattresses have arrived from the United States. We are now preparing to excavate over 8000m3 of sand from the beach and place the rock filled Triton mattresses to protect the beach from future erosion. Once placed, the sand will be replaced and precast concrete bleachers will be constructed to form an extension to Wollongong’s Blue Mile. In the meantime, the historic North Beach Surf Life Saving Club is being completely refurbished and extended.
