111 Alinga Street Building Enhancement
The project involved the base building upgrade of the existing building including a major services upgrade and BCA compliance works. At the same time a fit out was carried out for the Department of Administration Services. The work was staged to suit the building occupants The internal atrium was totally refurbished including airlocks, security desk and curved plywood beams as a feature.
Other works undertaken included high quality joinery to executive offices, parquetry to lobby areas, supply and installation of workstations and screens, supply and installation of loose furniture items and an upgrade of wall and floor furnishings. The total area of fitout and refurbishment was approximately 1600m².
The curved plywood beams were laminated in the vertical plane in lieu of the horizontal plane. This reduced the appearance of the laminations and provided a superior finish.
