Delivery Lump Sum

As part of the development of its new Waste Transfer Station (WTS) in Bungendore, the Palerang Council engaged Project Coordination to design and construct a Waste Transfer Building, a Recycle ‘Revolve’ Facility and a Plant Shed. The work under this contract also included completion of detailed excavation including installation of subsoil drainage, backfilling and compaction behind earth retaining structures. The Company also made provision for electrical and communications services to a designated point within each building.

INNOVATION:

Application of a specialised surface hardener for the main WTS Building concrete slab to increase its strength above 80MPa so as to withstand the impact of heavy machinery use in the “push pit”

For efficient lifecycle on the facility the Company put forward an option for the Council to consider removable wall plates to the “push pit” of the main building so allowing their replacement every 15 or so years to extend cost efficiency through the life of the facility.
