Calvary Hospital Pre-Rinse and Sterilising Relocation
The works comprised of two consecutive stages, briefly described as follows:
The first stage was to construct partitions and provide building services to the level 1 storeroom to accommodate the sterilising facility, to construct and commission the hoist (which serves levels 1and 2) and the associated modifications to the public toilets on level 2.
Once the first stage was ready for occupation, key items of equipment and selected functions were relocated from level 2 to the new facility on level 1.
The second stage was to modify the level 2 area to provide accommodation and services for the new pre-rinse equipment.
The decommissioned garbage chute was utilised as a new exhaust air shaft to remove return air from the level 1 sterilising facility.
