The Company was engaged by the Department of Defence to construct a new military induction facility at its Blamey Barracks. The project consisted of a two storey building which has a number of training rooms, lecture theatres and offices accommodation. External works included landscaping and car parking adjacent to the building.
The scope of works also included an extension to the existing Head Quarters Building, new toilet facilities at the firing range and hydraulic pump upgrade to the base.
INNOVATION:
Grey water recycling was installed at the Range toilets effluent used to irrigate firing range via subsoil drains.
The building also features perforated metal ceiling coffers to conceal services to open lecture theatres without using up ceiling space.
