John Purcell House was constructed for the St Vincent de Paul in Nowra. The $3.4 mill 18 bed facility provides crisis accommodation for men experiencing homelessness. A learning centre is also included in the development providing educational opportunities to assist in the rebuilding of lives.

While providing an important service, the centre also aims to be the greenest building in Nowra, featuring rooftop solar panels, thermo efficient window frames, recycled floor coverings in upstairs areas, in-ground water tanks to recycle stormwater along with other environmentally innovative features.
