This 800sqm headquarters was constructed for a local charity by Project Coordination for no profit and heavily discounted preliminaries. The building is of domestic style brick veneer construction and was completed fitted out, ready for occupation. Within only 4 weeks from completion, half of the building was destroyed by arsonists and even during the re-building, it was further damaged by a mini cyclone.
As numerous Subcontractors and Suppliers provided goods and services for free or at no cost, there were times when it was necessary to construct out of sequence to maintain some momentum. The project framing and brickwork were constructed by Master Builders Association apprentices, supervised by the Company.
Nominated in the 2006 MBA Awards for Excellence.
