This project entailed the extension of the existing depot and construction of a new oil handling facility.

Over 8,500m² of concrete was cast to create additional parking and storage facilities for the current depot staff.  An 8.5m high architectural concrete block enclosure was also constructed to house 4 x 21,000L oil storage tanks, including pipe work, pumps and hose reels, used to store used transformer oil.

The facility also includes an environmental bund area, allowing the maintenance of transformers to be carried out in a contained facility, and where contaminated water can be environmentally separated prior to discharge into the stormwater system.
