The new learning unit is a stand-alone single storey building consisting of four classrooms, an activities room and entrance area. A covered walkway linking the new building to the existing school was also constructed. The project also included operable walls to separate the four classrooms, computer charging units, a radiator heating system and the infrastructure for four smart boards were installed.

INNOVATION:

The building is cooled by way of an auto temperature controlled, mechanically operated window louvre system.

Building a new building in close proximity to residential houses, operating school and a drop off and pick up location for young children was a challenge with noise, machinery and deliveries.
