St Clare’s College Library Refurbishment
This project involved an extensive refurbishment to the existing library building. Complete demolition of offices, floor coverings and ceilings was carried out before being refitted with perforated acoustic plasterboard, new ceilings and new carpet. New areas were created for electronic scanners and computers and a large curved purpose built counter was also constructed. In addition staff toilets were refurbished.
Working in an occupied school environment presented challenges that were successfully overcome by the Company
The perforated plasterboard ceiling with insulation above it gave the vast open area a high level of sound absorption.
