The project involved the construction of an additional level on top of the existing single storey section of the motel linking the motel into one building. The works included the construction of 32 new motel rooms and the refurbishment of 20 existing rooms to achieve AAA accreditation and a four star motel accommodation rating.

Included in the scope of works was the refurbishment of the kitchen and food preparation areas as well as the construction of a new restaurant dining area with a seating capacity of 80 people. An operable wall was installed in the restaurant to provide facilities for dividing the room for separate functions.

INNOVATION:    

The project presented a number of challenges, the main being working in and around an occupied building. The Company put in place strict working procedures to ensure motel operations were not compromised and that guest satisfaction was maintained at all times.
The motel did not receive any complaints from guests during the works nor did they loose any clientele as a result of the construction works.
