Project Coordination was in engaged to undertake works at the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre. Works consisted of the extension of a number of existing buildings, removal of razor wire and installation of alternate security systems. Also included was the refurbishment of existing dormitories and major upgrades to landscaped and recreational areas.

Through careful planning and coordination with the security contractor, the facility remained an operational detention centre throughout the construction project.  The project was staged so that there was minimal impact on detainees.
